Hi there! I’m Katie!

 

Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the internet! I just wanted to introduce myself…

 

I am a former first grade teacher turned homeschool mom of two. I love to share learning resources that will help both parents and educators, reading tips and and topics about motherhood. In this space, I share teaching activities and resources, mama life tips and tricks and learning fun I am doing with my daughters.

 

I believe it is never too early to start giving your child new learning experiences while having fun watching them play and explore!

 

I taught first grade for nine years and have also been an online teacher. I have a Masters Degree in Education and Reading and have a true passion for teaching and learning. I have found myself missing aspects of the classroom, so I decided to start planning lessons and activities for my daughters and I to do together. I have been diving back into the “why” behind teaching and the great importance of teaching reading and building a love of learning early on. I look so forward to sharing all that I learn along the way!

 

My daughters are 5 and 2 so we are just beginning our homeschool journey along with getting through full toddlerhood. Activities are what I have found help us to make it through the day! The more activities we do that interest my 2 year old the easier it is to make it to nap time and bedtime and allow me more time to work with my older daughter! I love trying out new activities and will be so excited to share what we are up to!

 

I will also share what I’m learning as I navigate through mama life. I’m so happy to share things that worked for me that could possibly help someone else! No mama or baby is the same but what I have found is having a tool belt full of useful tips sure doesn’t hurt. (I am always looking to add more to mine!)

 

I feel that you are never too young or old to learn new things and I am here to learn as much as I want to teach! I am excited to share fun activities, great resources and any tips and tricks for helping make this crazy mom life just a little bit easier.
