Dinosaur Colors

Looking for a fun way to practice color words and sight words? This dinosaur themed book activity was perfect! We would simply pull out a color flashcard, read the page and then would color it in.

The fun dinosaur theme helps to keep interest high and when all the pages are complete and colored you can staple it together and create a book for extra reading and color practice.

The book features two different sentence options with the color word coming before the noun or after the noun.

We loved using the book where the noun comes before since it is easier to learn colors this way for younger kiddos.

The flashcards also make a perfect addition to go with each page. They can be printed on cardstock or laminated and put on a binder ring for best storing and use. The binder ring with hole punch made it so easy for me to take off the color we were focusing on for each page and then makes the perfect set of flashcards for practice later.

This activity can be easily differentiated for younger or older kiddos. More adult assistance will be needed to make this more successful with younger ones. Either way this activity will lead to great discussion and practice with color words and sight words! I hope you have as much fun as we did with this activity!
